Hi, I’m Corey.

I believe it is important for you to get a sense of who I am as part of our work together.

I am a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor in the state of Illinois and Georgia. I am also certified as a Perinatal Mental Health Counselor. I received my undergraduate degree at Loyola University of Chicago in Psychology and Sociology and my Master’s from Argosy University of Chicago. I have 12 years of experience in the mental health field working in various settings including inpatient psychiatric hospital, community mental health and private practice.

I am passionate about providing a collaborative and safe environment to process and understand your experiences and the impact of those experiences. Through this, you will gain courage to overcome pain and move towards healing.

I am very relational in how I approach therapy as I believe that our toughest moments and greatest experiences in life include other people. I also believe that the relationship we have with ourselves is one of the most important areas to explore. The way we talk to ourselves has the biggest impact on how we feel about ourselves and about the world around us.

Outside of being a counselor, I love to spend time with my family and friends. I enjoy running, yoga, exploring and being active. Oh, and I LOVE animals. I am a big fan of the animal/human bond and am a true believer that spending time with our pets can be very therapeutic. Just ask my cat, Otto or my goofy bloodhound, Levon.
